Crafting: Martha Paper Peonies

Martha Stewart sent me her "Craft of The Day" today (I subscribe), and I thought these would be fabulous to make and use on my frames!

UNTIL, I clicked on through and looked at the list of 15+ supplies you need and the detailed 16 step instructions! Beautiful, but no thanks! Anything that starts with boiling paper probably isn't worth it.

CLICK HERE for full article & instructions

I DARE YOU! Make these and live to tell about it!

Thats just complete chaos and I agree boiling paper just sounds like too much effort however they are beautiful flowers!

You just totally made me laugh! Have you perused the new Martha Craft Encyclopedia? Seriously it's crafting heaven, I just ordered it on Amazon. While I can't wait to try it there is some stuff in there that look impossible. Handbraiding your own doormat...seriously Martha?! Who does that?

I agree about the boiling the paper... I've made paper using recycled paper, by putting shreds in the blender and blending with Hot hot water.... no real need to boil, I think.
I thought maybe using a lightweight paper and tearing the petal edges might look good... maybe ink the edges...before curling... I don't know... I think I'll experiment and see what I come up with.
